Who should shop Logos On-Line?
Bahamian residents looking for a good deal on the widest possible range of books - both secular and inspirational. Eventually we hope to provide access (including on-line samples) to a full range of inspirational music and a carefully chosen selection of classical, easy listening, instrumental, Celtica and "World Music" CDs & Cassettes.
How wide a selection of titles does Logos offer on-line?
Does a database of around a million titles sound sufficient? Virtually all books in print in English (and some in other languages as well!) are included.
What about the cost?
US Retail for most titles (textbooks and specialty books may be a little higher). That's about 25% less than books stocked at our retail location. NO postage or shipping surcharges if you pick up your order at the store.
How long does it take?
Normally about 10 days to two weeks after placing your order.
How can I be sure the titles I want to order are available?
Search results indicate whether a title is in print or will not be available until a future date. Be sure to click through on in-print titles (in light blue and underlined). The system will then indicate whether that title is available or not. Occasionally a book may get shipped out to someone else before your order completes. We will consult you direct about any discrepancies, back-orders or queries so there are no surprises.
I live on a Bahamian Family Island. Can you help me?
Sure. Go ahead and complete your on-line order normally. Logos has always been a fabulous resource for readers on the Islands. With the on-line store, it's even better. There are several ways we get books to Family Islanders: Friends and family in Nassau collect them at the store We can deliver to most of the mailboats. In the comment box of the Customer Record, let us know which mailboat you'd like us to use and its normal day and time of departure. We can mail your order to you. By experience, we know this has to be by Air Mail and not book post (which can take weeks to reach you). We will not charge your credit card with the shipping costs until we have established the exact amount.
How and when do I pay?
All On-line orders must be fully pre-paid. This can be done with credit cards: Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover and the Bahamas' own Sun Card are all accepted. You can also pay cash at the store. Simply print out a copy of the Invoice you'll see when you close out your shopping cart and bring it along when you make the payment. Alternatively, you can print out a copy of the e-mail confirmation you should receive shortly after checking out. Without one or the other of these documents we are unfortunately unable to process cash payments. No matter which method you use, we are not able to release a purchase order for processing until payment has been confirmed.
What about Credit Card Security?
Your order is processed by a secure server and your credit card records are not visible to anyone but Logos Bookstores (Bahamas) Ltd. Because we are sensitive to privacy and security concerns, though, you can call the store with your credit card details. Orders cannot, unfortunately, be processed until that information is available.
Can I pay the On-line price on a book that's stocked in the store?
Generally, we can only offer On-line Store prices for items which are ordered on-line. Off-the-shelf titles may be immediately available, but they also cost more.
I'm a Book Club Member at the store. Do I still get 10% off the on-line prices and credit towards coupons?
Sorry ... we're cutting these prices pretty thin. We just can't offer Book Club benefits for on-line shoppers for the time being.
I don't live in the Bahamas. What does your service offer for me?
We want to build a large selection of "Bahamiana" that we'll be glad to ship to you wherever you are. This will include the ever popular Bahamian Calendar and titles you can't easily find anywhere else. But at the moment, you'd be better off using other on-line stores for general title books and music ... stay tuned!
